Certificate in Effective Strategies for the Autistic Student
The Certificate in Effective Strategies for the Autistic Student (ASD) is a four course program of
study administered by Brandman University through the Extended Education program and is cosponsored
by Link Autism Leadership® and prepares its graduates to promote evidence based,
highly structured, inclusive educational programs for children with autism spectrum disorders.
This program is grounded in an integrated systems approach emphasizing a humanistic
philosophy that autism is the cultural and social phenomenon of our time.
Further emphasized
within this program is that individuals with autism disorders should be given opportunities to live
and thrive within their communities, live independently, and share in the same level of social
justice as individuals with disabilities and without disabilities.
Program courses are taught
completely on-line and utilize the Blackboard ® format.

Certificate in Instructional Coaching
The Certificate in Instructional Coaching is a four course program of study administered by Brandman University through the Extended Education program and is co-sponsored by Link Autism Leadership® and prepares its graduates to promote evidence based, highly structured, instructional coaching for teachers and teacher leaders in an educational environment.
The most important element of this program is that it emphasizes coaching as a learned practice that must be developed in the framework of education. Coaching is a highly practiced and ongoing practice. In order for teacher leaders to develop this practice hours of work is needed.
These courses offer teachers to learn about coaching and ways to integrate coaching into the classroom to help teachers become more intentional in their practice. Program courses are taught completely on-line and utilize the Blackboard ® format.
